Spotlight on Ankara with Omawumi and Chidinma

Omawumi and Chidinma

In a sector as competitive as Nigeria’s music industry, every practitioner needs a dose of vocal dexterity with matching stage craft, but admirable fashion sense is also of essence. In this regard, singers, Omawumi Megbele and Chidinma Ekile stand out.

Apart from being products of reality shows, both of them have in common their penchant for African prints, especially Ankara. However, there seems to be a slight difference in their individual styles, in that while Omawumi usually steps out in skimpy corset Ankara dresses, Chidinma prefers her Ankara pieces as pleated skirts, halter neck gowns; mixed with T-shirts, jackets and other accessories.
Here are pictures of the two of them, rocking Ankara in different styles.
