Lance Armstrong's Oprah Doping Confession: Lena Dunham, Hollywood React

Steve Martin, Charlamagne Tha God, Olly Murs post witty, cutting comments about bike racer's admission to Oprah.

Lance Armstrong in his interview with Oprah Winfrey

After years of lies and denials, disgraced bike racing legend Lance Armstrong finally came clean on Thursday night in his anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey, telling her he was a "bully" and "deeply flawed" person.
Armstrong, 41, said he began taking performance-enhancing drugs in the mid 90s, using a cocktail of banned EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions to win every one of his now-stripped seven Tour de France titles.
The long-awaited admission drew instant, sometimes hilarious, response from Hollywood, with everyone from "Girls" star/creator Lena Dunham to singer Olly Murs weighing in on the scandal.

"Despite the latest news my father will not stop using Lance Armstrong as an adjective for strength and determination," tweeted Golden Globe winner
 @.

"This is 40" star @ had some casting ideas, tweeting, "Would love to see Lance Armstrong and Barry Bonds do 'The Odd Couple' on Broadway," while "Young Adult" actor/comedian @, joked, "Let ‪@ race again. On the condition he does PCP 10 minutes before the race begins. And be zip-tied to the bike."

Many of the other Twitter-loving usual suspect comedians had a field day with the news. "'I'm out of the business of calling somebody a liar,'" Lance Armstrong after a very successful career calling people liars," @ quipped.

The stand-up who got into it
with Chris Brown last year, Jenny Johnson, weighed in with, "Lance Armstrong once sneezed in front of me and I immediately had the ability to rip a Houston phonebook in half." @ added, "Lance Armstrong prefers to think of steroids as 'training wheels.'"
Legendary comedian and Twitter master Steve Martin managed to tie the day's news all together with his comment. "Bad day: Spent it on a 787 Dreamliner with Lance Armstrong and Manti Te'o's ex girlfriend," @ riffed about the news this week about the mechanical problems on the planes and the "Catfish"-like scandal
that ensnared the Notre Dame star. Charlamagne Tha God, host of MTV's "Guy Code," failed to see the humor in the situation. @ wrote, "I love this ADD generation. Y'all went from Manti Te'o, to Lance Armstrong, to 'American Idol' in a matter of hours. Oh and Scandal at 10."
While plenty of stars had funny or sad reactions to the shocking Armstrong interview, on Friday morning (January 18), Olly Murs took to Twitter just asking if anyone could help him find the damn thing!

And, whether it was out of jealousy for not getting the admission himself or true anger, CNN's Piers Morgan went off on Armstrong. "The fact ‪@ admits he had to look up what the word 'cheat' means, says all you need to know about the man. ‪#LiveWrong," wrote @ in the first of his multiple tweets on the matter. Earlier, he responded,

"So it's official - ‪@ is the worst lying, doping cheat in the history of sport," as well as, "What a snivelling, lying, cheating little wretch ‪@ revealed himself to be tonight. I hope he now just disappears."
