T.R.U.E story.
On Thursday, "Extremely Blessed" rapper 2 chainz
(born Tauheed Epps) was arrested for possession of marijuana and
paraphernalia in Maryland and after being taken in he posed for pictures
with the arresting officers.
According to reports, the Grammy-nominated
Chainz was busted around 10 p.m. in Easton, Maryland after Maryland
State Police pulled over a white van he was traveling in with a half
dozen other people.
The Baltimore Sun reported that police found the rapper in possession of weed and he was the only person taken into custody.
A short time after the incident the MC tweeted,
"UMES we on the way, dam police f---n wit a n---a, we fina turnUP,"
referring to a previously scheduled Thursday night homecoming show with
Juicy J at University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
"Locked me up and then Wanted pictures smh," he followed, posting an instagram shot of him grinning along with two of Maryland's finest. The picture has since been liked by nearly 42,000 people and the Sun
reported that a state police spokesperson said the incident is under
review. Chainz later denied the possession charges, writing, "We to jail
for a [weed] grinder??? REALLY???"
He recovered pretty quickly, posting another shot
on Instagram a few hours later in which he was pictured rocking the
stage at UMES. "I work hard and pray even harder, we gone always be good
ya'll," he told his fans. "Not to mention my security said it was his
and they said, 'he don't smoke,' how da fuk u know?"
All was well by early Friday morning (February 15), though, as Chainz
posted a lovely sunrise picture of a plane with the message, "I'm outta
here."
