The world’s best footballer Lionel Messi has been accused by Spanish tax authorities of defrauding the government of £3.4m.
His father, Jorge is
also involved the tax evasion charge. Father and son are suspected to
have filed fraudulent tax returns between 2006 and 2009.
NET gathered that they have been accused
of using a complex network of companies in Britain and Switzerland and
tax havens in other countries.
If found guilty Messi could face 6 years in prison and pay a hefty fine.
