EXCLUSIVE: ‘I don’t have a child yet’ – D’banj denies baby daddy rumours
Several reports and sources suggest former label mates - Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo and Oluwatobi ‘Wande’ Ojosipe have already fathered their first children respectively.
Weeks ago, a report was published on a blog famzin.com, claiming that an unidentified woman has already given birth to a child for D’banj.
The blog suggested D’banj welcomed his first child with an unidentified
woman sometime ago; citing five women as potential baby mamas on the
story’s leading photo. Photos of Nadia Buari and Genevieve Nnaji (both
rumoured to have dated D’banj) and three other women were inserted into
the picture, with the author asking readers to guess who the baby mama
is.
We have not been able to confirm the authenticity of the news. We however learnt that the report might be tied to D’banj’s former label partner Don Jazzy. Interestingly, sources tell us Truspot’s Ike Orizu who’s
Don Jazzy’s friend founded Famzin.com about two months ago. We are told
D’banj and his team aren’t happy with the story and the authors too.

Wole Soyinka, an embarrassment - Patience Jonathan
Lol, she's one to talk, with all due respect. Hehe. Culled from Punch
Wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, on Friday took on the Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, for attributing the crisis in the Rivers House of Assembly to her.
In a statement by her spokesman, Ayo Osinlu, the President’s wife said Soyinka betrayed the moral duty that expected him, as a respected member of the society, to carefully consider all shades of issues that informed his opinions on any matter.
Mrs. Jonathan said Soyinka had become an embarrassment to his admirers with his diatribe against her.
The statement read in part, “Unfortunately, Soyinka betrayed moral duty in his recent diatribe against Mrs. Patience Jonathan.
“Of course, this would not be the first time he would reach out against the First Lady, usually from self-righteously indignant lecterns.
“In this particular instance, his verdict was that Mrs. Jonathan was ‘stoking the crisis currently rocking her home state of Rivers…’, and thereupon asked Mr. President to caution his wife.
“The good, old Prof. reminds one of the truth that indeed, most of the giants on the street are men of like passions like everyone else. Worse still, most of them are actually standing on clay feet and would fail the test of a gentle push.
“Otherwise, who would have believed that the social, civil, constitutional and sundry rights crusader Prof. would maintain a safe distance from the heart of an activity that is a potential threat to the peace, security and safety of the people of a state, then collect exaggerated stories and jaundiced perspectives from familiar propagandists and character assassins, and promptly summon the media to a “state of the nation” address.
“It’s an embarrassment to his throng of admirers and followers, that a sage of Prof. Soyinka’s status, who used to be a gauge of public morality in this nation, would lend himself to a propaganda of high drive, to save a governor who elected to launch into a river without applicable survival skills.”
Mrs. Jonathan argued that the calculation was to attack the President and pull to pieces anyone associated with him, as a strategy for attracting public sympathy to the “clear underdog.”
She said Soyinka was only contributing to the project when he claimed that she was Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s problem.

So Cute! Peter vs Cameron Okoye – Who’s Channeling Michael Jackson Best?
Aren’t kids just the best?
Music star Peter Okoye of P-Square is a proud father and he isn’t shy of sharing some intimate moments with his son Cameron.
In Personally – P-Square’s latest music video, it was evident that the pop duo paid homage to the late pop star Michael Jackson. Peter Okoye was seen serving some of Michael’s dance moves including the moon walk.
It seems Cameron loved the video so much, he decided to go against his father by rocking the same outfit while busting a move to the song.
Peter shared this photo on Instagram with a caption “Now he wants to compete with me on the dance floor. Peter vs Cameron.”
I don’t know about you, but I am going to give this to Cameron. Yes, better luck next time Peter.
Olamide becomes first Nigerian ambassador for CIROC
Did we hear you say ‘it’s been a long time coming‘?
With almost every relevant Nigerian artiste out there signing endorsement deals, isn’t it baffling thatOlamide who’s like hottest rapper number 2 hasn’t signed any major deal yet?
Ponder no more! Sources tell NET Olamide has signed a multimillion Naira endorsement deal with alcoholic drink Ciroc Ultra Premium vodka and will become the first Nigerian ambassador for the alcoholic beverage.
Olamide’s management has yet to respond to our queries but inside sources tell us that the deal has been signed and sealed already. ‘The money had to be sent in three parts, that’s how huge it is‘, an insider tells us.
Ciroc, produced and distributed by Diageo is looking at promoting their brand in West Africa after launching in 2011.
By signing Olamide as ambassador, Ciroc is adopting the similar marketing model practised in the US; the likes of French Montana, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Ray Jay, Funkmaster Flex are all ambassadors for the drink.

Details from the crash have now surfaced courtesy of an eye witness. Apparently Wiz’s car was spotted speeding down the road when the front tyre burst which resulted in the driver of the vehicle losing control and crashing.
There is no word on who was actually driving the car at the time of the accident.
5 International celebs you probably never knew were Nigerian
Sade Adu, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Chamillionaire, Wale, Tine Tempah and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje are Nigerians, everyone knows that. This list has dug deeper and discovered 5 celebrities you never thought could be Nigerian. Get ready to be shocked…sorry Nas is not on the list. As at the last time we checked he was a full-blooded American. Enjoy
1) Hugo Weaving- Do you remember Agent Smith in Matrix? Yes! Neo’s arch-rival is Nigerian. How? Well the 53 year old actor was born in Nigeria at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. This makes him Nigerian by birth. His parents moved back to England a year after. Hugo Weaving has acted in several blockbusters such as V For Vendetta, The Matrix Trilogy and Lord of The Rings Trilogy, Transformers Trilogy, The Hobbit Trilogy and Captain America. Who said Ibadan boys don’t go far?
2) Taio Cruz- The 25 year old British singer is of Nigerian heritage. He was born to a Nigerian father and Brazilian mother. Taio Cruz who started penning songs at 12, began writing professionally 7 years later. He released his debut album Departure in 2008. The following year he released his sophomore Rokstarrwhich featured the hit song ‘Dynamite’. He dropped his 3rd album TY.O three years ago. Taio Cruz has won several awards including the BRIT Awards, Billboard Music Awards, ASCAP Awards and American Music Awards.
3) Tyler the Creator- Yes, do not be shocked. The ‘Black Eminem’ is Nigerian. Tyler the Creator’s actual names are Tyler Okonma. His father is Igbo. The leader of the music collective ‘Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All’ claims he never met his father. Maybe that is why he is not too fond of him. In 2009 Tyler released his first album Bastard. His buzz started growing from then on mainly backed by his offensive, homophobic and disgusting lyrics. He released his second album Goblin two years later and became a national sensation without the backing of any major record label in America. He released his third albumWolf this year.
4) Dizzie Rascal- Dizzie (Dylan Kwabena Mills) is one of the most respected rappers in the UK and also happens to be Nigerian. His Nigerian father died when he was young and he was raised by his Ghanaian mum. He had a rebellious childhood and that’s how he got the name Rascal. He was a friend of Nigerian footballer Danny Shittu when he was a kid. At 16 he produced his first single ‘I Luv U’ and in 2002 formed the collective Roll Deep Crew. Dizzie Rascal has released 5 solo albums till date making him one of the biggest rappers in the UK. He performed at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London and won the Best International Act at the BET Awards in 2010.
5) Richard Ayoade- This is another Brit-Nigerian. Richard Ayoade was born to a Nigerian father and Norwegian mother. ‘I want to have 7 kids’ – Desmond Elliot
Desmond Elliot says he would like to have as many as 7 children.
While fielding questions in a recent interview with Vanguard, the
charming actor admitted that he won’t mind having a large family.
‘My dad had 11, my mom had five. So, ours was a large family. So,
it’s not because we were not many, that’s why I want to have a large
family, no. I just love kids. I want to have a big family like seven.
But not now, when my wife is more rested and the kids are grown more and
also when I have more money, so I can give them all the best. I love
kids. Definitely, we’ll have more’, he said.
Desmond and his wife Victoria now have 4 children (3 boys and 1 girl), hopefully in a few years the target of 7 will be reached…
